Historical Evolution

Legacy of Novatroopers

The historical foundation traces back to elite stormtrooper honor guards who served throughout the Galactic Empire by 9 BBY. These specialized units were assigned to locations of historical significance, including Emperor Palpatine's birthworld of Naboo.

Urban Deployment

Elite Novatroopers were deployed to support intensified crackdowns on illegal activities and protests. Their successful operations established a reputation for effectiveness that continues to influence Nova Corps doctrine.

31st Demolition Company

The transition from the 31st Demolition Company to Nova Corps represents a strategic evolution in Imperial military thinking. While maintaining siege-warfare expertise, Nova Corps expanded to encompass protective services and intelligence operations.

Formation of Nova Corps

The reorganization into Nova Corps reflects changing Imperial security requirements in the outer rim territories. This evolutionary process ensures Nova Corps remains at the forefront of Imperial military effectiveness while honoring the distinguished service record of its predecessors.

Phase 1: Interview

Out-of-Character (OOC) Questions:

This section carries no strikes. Recruits will be asked:

  • Their expected activity level (minimum 3 days per week)
  • Previous experience on this or other RP servers
  • Skills they can contribute to the regiment
  • Reasons for wanting to join Nova Corps
  • Any previous bans or warnings (only repeat offenses are concerning)
  • Brief personality description
  • Timezone (note: unit operates on AEST)

In-Character (IC) Questions:

  • Your LAAT/LE crashes from anti-air fire; you're the sole survivor. What do you do?.
  • Lord Vader orders you to kill an officer because. Respond.
  • ISB Director assigns you to guard weapons, but the Chief of Staff orders their destruction. Respond.
  • The Nova Corps CO orders you to terminate an ST Sergeant. Respond.

Phase 2: Faces Commands Test

Recruits must execute two face command sequences:

Faces Generator

Failing one sequence earns 1 strike. Multiple failures result in automatic tryout failure.

Phase 3: Formation Drills

Recruits will demonstrate seven formations with the following strike penalties:

  • Single Column
  • Double Column
  • Wedge (both tight and loose variants)
  • Echelons (left/right, tight/loose)
  • Diamonds (VIP, Prisoner, Normal)
  • Staggered Column
  • Firing Line (stationary and advancing)

Minor mistakes earn 1 strike, while major errors (wrong formation/positions) earn 2 strikes. A critical error is performing a Prisoner Diamond on a VIP.

Phase 4: ClimbSWEP Test

The obstacle course has three walls:

  • Failing the first wall = 1 strike
  • Failing the second wall = 1 strike
  • Completing the third wall removes 1 strike

Phase 5: Firing Range Assessment

Recruits will engage targets selected by the evaluator:

Each friendly fire incident earns 0.5 strikes

Target selection and scoring criteria are at the recruiter's discretion

Evaluation Outcome

Exceeding 4 strikes results in immediate tryout failure. Strike counters reset weekly for active recruits.
